Guide for Speakers

Reviewing Applications

Applications are evaluated by members of the Programme Committee.
By submitting an application, authors agree to:

  • The full or partial publication of their article in the conference proceedings.
  • The use of the article’s title, text, and authors’ names in the conference’s marketing materials (website, brochures, emails, etc.).
  • The use of videos and presentations in marketing materials.

Important Note!

Your chances of being included in the programme are higher if your topic:

  • Has not been presented at other industry-specific conferences.
  • Has been significantly reworked and expanded, considering feedback received at previous events.

Specifics of Speaker Participation

The conditions for participation vary based on the status of your talk:

  • Accepted into the main programme or reserve list– Free participation (travel and accommodation are self-funded).
    • Co-speakers: Only one speaker is exempt from the participation fee; co-speakers pay the full fee valid at the time of submission.
  • Support team: Each speaker can invite a support team. Two members from the support team will receive a 15% discount on participation (both offline and online formats). To claim this discount, email @AD_CFO with your full name and the names of the support team members. Team members will need to register for the conference after this.
  • Declined proposal – Participation at the price valid on the date of proposal submission.
  • Self-withdrawal – Participation at the current price.

Change in Presentation Format

If a regular talk is rejected, the speaker may be offered the opportunity to present in a lightning talk format.

How to Create a Great Presentation

Key Principles of Preparation

  • Engage Your Audience:

    • The presentation should be clear and captivating for the listeners.
    • The conference audience consists of analysts — consider their specific interests and needs.
  • Define a Clear Objective:

    • Any presentation becomes valuable when the audience understands its purpose.
    • Even if you’re discussing unfamiliar technologies or methodologies, explain why they matter.
  • Clarity and Simplicity:

    • Don’t assume the meaning is obvious to your audience.
    • Clearly state the purpose of your presentation and define key terms at the beginning.
  • Balance the Details:

    • Avoid delving too deeply into niche topics.
    • Focus on practical value for the audience.
  • Include Practical Case Studies:

    • Share real-life examples.
    • This will make your presentation more valuable and memorable.

Avoid “Death by PowerPoint”

  • Remember, overloaded and unstructured slides can ruin the impact of even the most significant presentation.
  • Remember the Death by PowerPoint.

This process and these recommendations will not only help you create a high-quality presentation but will also enable you to effectively communicate your ideas to the audience. 😊
