    How to conduct a brilliant discovery

    Discovery is the first phase of the project when a dedicated team is analysing the customer’s business needs, attempting to propose a solution that met all parties’ expectations.  

    The more carefully the team has worked through all the details during this phase, the smoother implementation of the project can be on the delivery. But it also sometimes happens that even experienced in delivery analysts often make mistakes that lead to serious consequences and problems in the subsequent stages, and the project becomes a mess.

    During the talk, we will recreate situations that could potentially lead to errors and learn how to build our work in such a way that there are as few unexpected turns as possible.

    Every analyst faces difficult situations in interactions with a client or a team that seems too acute and has no resolutions. Traditionally we can use several tools to manage them, but the game as an effective tool is rarely used and always forgotten about.   

    The author will talk about the main advantages of a game method, formulate principles of using games that should be followed to achieve results.   

    The talk is dedicated to the main advantages and basic principles of using games. Special attention will be brought to the possible tools and game formats with different participant involvement. Examples from the author’s practice will illustrate key ideas. It will be useful for specialists who are thinking about uncommon approaches in their practices and for those analysts who are open to unconventional patterns for solving everyday issues.
