Workshop: Working with Non-Functional Requirements in System Integration

  • 1h 30 min

As a general practice, analysts focus on integration scenarios and functional requirements when designing distributed systems, while the identification and provision of non-functional requirements are often left to the architect.

However, a non-functional requirement considered at the system level becomes a functional requirement at the service integration level, influencing the choice of integration technology.

During the workshop, we'll use a practical case study to examine which non-functional requirements can impact the choice of integration technology.

This is intended for experienced analysts who have experience in system integration using HTTP services.

A basic understanding of REST-like API, RPC API, and Message Broker is desirable.
