How we developed the grading system for systems analysts

Our successes as a company and the transition to an in-house team became the starting point for creating a grading process, including for systems analysts. We raised questions of self-understanding of the systems analyst role and objective assessment of employees, creating a targeted skill map. Our approach to motivation includes realistic opportunities for growth and salary changes. By developing a transparent skill matrix, we simplified the grading process, providing a clear basis for assessing employees and making a development plan. I will share my experience of creating the matrix, the assessment methodology, and examples of successful “selling” to a business. In conclusion, we will examine employee reactions and plans for further development of our grading approach.
