Efficient dashboards in Bitrix24 BI-builder — using Apache Superset and Trino to the limit

In the talk, we will share our experience in creating fast and efficient analytical dashboards in Apache Superset for various BI-entities within Bitrix24. We will reveal the secrets of accelerating analytical requests through using predicates, cut-off date, server-side filtering. To achieve the goal, we will go deeper into the BI-connector protocol and Google Looker Studio Community Connector. We will consider many practical examples and pitfalls based on popular analytical charts dedicated to resolving daily BI-tasks on BI-builder dashboards: from lead monitoring to sales performance and telephony. We will touch upon the topic of connecting BI-entity tables and window functions in Trino. Moreover, we will focus on the architecture of a plugin for Trino in the context of writing the most optimal analytical queries to BI-entities. We will also discuss the peculiarities and specifics of filtering on dashboards in Apache Superset.
