SEO: useful knowledge for a systems analyst

Neither in the analysis courses nor at the institute did anyone teach me about search engine optimisation (SEO), and generally, if you don’t have a front, you might never encounter it. But I was lucky, and one of my first tasks at my first job was related to SEO. And I remember how I frantically Googled new terms and was worried that this task might be the reason I’d be fired. :)

Nearly two years have passed since then, I’m still with the same company, and would like to share what I’ve learned along the way. I won’t be explaining how to promote websites (that’s the role of SEO specialists). Instead, through examples from my tasks, I’ll discuss what’s useful to know and consider in non-functional requirements when setting tasks for developing new services with a front-end component and improving existing ones.
