Things to think about before sending your ship to a new integration

As a lead of systems analysis in a product stream, I often see that while the API may be thoroughly developed, crucial conceptual questions remain unresolved—issues that may not be immediately apparent without experience and an eye for detail.

In this talk, I will cover the essential points to address before beginning the design of a new integration. This includes critical considerations when studying business process of external system documentation, and establishing agreements which I defined from my experience. I am based on the experience of designing integrations in high-load banking and telecom systems, particularly for the “MegaFon Personal Account” mobile and web applications.

To wrap up, I’ll provide a checklist for designing a new integration and offer recommendations for technical specifications related to external system integrations.
