Successful BPM Implementation: Unexpected Challenges and Effective Solutions

This talk is for anyone using executable BPM processes in their products.

I’ll share the challenges we faced when, within just one year, the number of product and implementation teams using our BPM configuration solution grew tenfold.

It all started when we made configuring executable BPM processes (based on Zeebe) simple and intuitive — so much so that any analyst could easily set up the workflows they needed. The solution was quickly adopted across almost every product team.

Was it a success? Yes — in part.
But with rapid adoption came a wave of unexpected issues that started interfering with day-to-day operations.

In this talk, I’ll walk you through some of the most painful problems we encountered during this scale-up, how to recognise them, and — most importantly — how to fix them.
