Negotiations in IT: Why Your Efforts Aren’t Paying Off?

  • 20 min

In this talk, I’ll share my experience of building cross-functional collaboration: how to reach a shared decision when the parties involved are unwilling to compromise — or are simply ignoring each other.

On many projects, I keep encountering the same recurring issue that leads to poor performance metrics and creates a toxic atmosphere. This issue is communication.

In the talk, I will share diagrams demonstrating how system and business analysts can organise their work and collect relevant data — even when colleagues or stakeholders are actively blocking progress.

We’ll explore situations such as:
how to break through silence or avoidance of your colleagues and get the information you need without damaging relationships;
— how to prepare for negotiations when stakeholders avoid the topic or resist compromise.
We’ll also collect practical techniques to help you feel more confident in conflict situations.
