This talk will cover the full cycle of a SA’s work on a new functionality — from the first introduction to the feature to the release of the MVP.
We'll begin by looking at what the feature is and what problems it solves. Next, we will discuss the team processes and the steps taken by the SA: gathering information and creating system interaction diagrams, selecting a technical solution while considering constraints, preparing the specification, and conducting the final alignment meeting.
Special attention will be given to how the specification is structured: entry points and screen behaviour, design and toggles, configuration of A/B tests, detailed work on screen blocks, user interaction scenarios, pull-to-refresh, caching, logging, deep links, analytics events, and localisation.
We'll discuss what ultimately went into the MVP, the challenges faced during feature development, the solutions that helped to overcome them. The talk will conclude with insights and practical takeaways for SAs.
