How to adapt sociological methods to UX-studies: interviews with users

  • 40 min

Social sciences (anthropology, ethnography, sociology) have developed a range of qualitative and quantitative methods for studying the human experience. UX-researchers took only a small number of these techniques and tried to adapt them to their environment. The major problem of this adaptation is the risk of reducing data quality.

This work will study the problems of using qualitative methods in user studies and it also will provide recommendations on how to adapt these methods in terms of limited resources.
