The impact of Systems Thinking on the Business Analyst role

As the role of the Business Analyst matures and Business Analysts take on ever increasing levels of responsibility, a range of important concepts and ideas are influencing the discipline as defined. One specific area which is impacting the BA role is that of systems thinking, particularly the philosophy of using soft system techniques to support the traditional hard system techniques more usually applied. This talk will introduce the philosophy and key concepts of systems thinking and the soft systems approach, concentrating on how they can assist the BA in adding greater value to their organisations.
