In large companies, product development has often been driven by the internal customer's strategy and requirements. This is not always efficient, because opinions can be subjective and data is always one-sided. With the move to Agile, multi-page requirements were replaced by user stories, releases became more frequent, and there was a demo every fortnight. The process has noticeably improved and accelerated. And now it is time to answer the main questions:
- Who uses what we've produced and how often?
- How do we measure the value of what we produce?
The answer to these questions is in the product metrics, but simply taking the ones that have already been in use for years for external customers will not work. Therefore, within the talk, I will tell about how to rethink existing metrics and construct new ones to feel the system's pulse.
