60% Less Review Time: An AI Assistant for Junior Analysts’ Mentors

Mentors of junior analysts spend hours on repetitive reviews: checking requirements against quality criteria, finding evidence, and preparing constructive feedback. I will share how I built an internal AI assistant with Codex in 40 hours. It analyzes requirements documents, identifies issues with supporting examples, suggests scores, and drafts feedback. Manual review took about 60 minutes per submission; with the assistant, the mentor’s end-to-end review time fell to 24 minutes—a 60% reduction. I will demonstrate the actual interface and show how we calibrated the assistant to avoid penalizing the same issue twice, assess meaning rather than keywords, rely only on evidence, and consider the scale of each issue. The talk is for managers, team leads, mentors, and analysts responsible for requirements quality and junior development. Attendees will receive a checklist for building and calibrating an AI assistant.
